Summer Project Ideas

School is out and summer is here! Even if you have not been in school for awhile, summer can be a great time for projects. Here are some summer project ideas for a variety of ages! There are some if you want to do some digital exploring and if you need a digital detox!

Retro Flashback Projects

For the curious researcher…. learn more about a previous technology or invention. For young learners, have them record their thoughts in a journal. Here are some ideas and people to learn more about:

However if one needs a break from the digital world, here are some project ideas listed below:

  • Host a themed party of a certain era, like the nineties.
  • Have a family meal where everyone dresses from a given era.
  • Stay away from digital devices for a week.
  • Avoid phones during meals for one month.

Community Strengthener Projects

  • Have an outside movie night with a projector.

  • Learn to make a frozen treat such as ice cream.
