The Northwest Alliance for Responsible Media invites you to participate in an important community meeting, Health Equity in Spokane: Deepening the Dialogue, Wednesday, November 14 from 7-9 a.m. at Gonzaga University, Cataldo Hall; Globe Room.
Spokane Regional Health District health officer Dr. Joel McCullough will be on hand to facilitate a conversation around the District’s recent report Odds Against Tomorrow: Health Inequities in Spokane County. This study, published in September, looks at how social factors, including education, household income, race/ethnicity, and place/neighborhood impact the health of people right here in our community.
The dialogue hosted by Gonzaga University includes a 45-minute health equity presentation followed by breakout sessions for attendees to lend their voice to the solutions. Registration is not required but recommended at www.srhd.org/healthequity. There is no cost to participate.
This is one of a series of community meetings across the county designed to share the results of this study and facilitate discussion to promote significant change locally and to improve the health and well-being of all citizens.
As part of NW-ARM’s mission to build healthy communities through education we hope you take the time to participate in this meaningful community event.
